Avery – A Happy Home Soaring Springer

“Avery”

Taryn and Matt Shared this with Deb: Just wanted to give you an update on Avery!  It’s hard to believe it’s almost been a year since we got her, and she’s already become such an integral part in our little family!  Matt has started training with her, tonight we took her out with a grouse decoy and some grouse scent, and she stayed with me until he came back and got her.  She picked up the scent immediately and found the grouse right away, so there is promise with this little one!  We are still working on “fetching” as there are a lot of distractions outside, but she has definitely got it figured out within the confines of the house.  Speaking of which, we ended up buying a house in June, and Avery has made the transition well.  She has been fine un-crated throughout the day, with no accidents, and Matt coming home at lunch time to see her.
There is a conservation center with a pond nearby and she has turned into a real water dog as well.  She just loves to swim!  And I can’t begin to tell you the number of compliments we receive when other people see her; her temperament, her coat, her gait, her swimming… people are just amazed with how well bred she is, and we are too!  She is such a beautiful dog with such a sweet disposition and we could not be happier!

Happy 3rd Birthday to Riley! – Simply a Joy to be Around

Kimberly has shared this with Soaring ESS:

It’s hard to believe another year has gone by – and Riley (formerly Bandit) continues to be the love of our lives!

He’s become such a handsome young man – we’ve been taking agility lessons and plenty of play time in the parks of NYC… we get stopped all the time by people who comment on how beautiful and well-behaved he is!  Still loves his tennis balls (which is how I got him to sit so pretty for the picture); he’s simply a joy to be around.

Hope all is well on your end!

New Happy Home for a Soaring ESS Puppy – Sophie Grace

This was shared from the new home of a Soaring ESS puppy – Sophie Grace:
What a pleasure, she’s such a good girl, settling in nicely.  Emmaus seems to be getting used to her hanging around him, and they are starting to bond with each other a bit more.  Taking it slow!!! I ordered a case of the wet food, and she has not been picky at all!  5am and 5pm is din din, and a small amount for lunch.  No treats yet, but our vet gave her a natural one on our visit. She had nothing but praise for your puppy and professionalism, I brought all the paperwork you gave me to the  visit.  She is a healthy happy dog, received rabies and 1st Lyme, will go back for 2nd Lyme in a couple weeks from now. They will do blood test for immunity rather than give 3d shot before 14mos old.

Took both dogs to field behind our house and she played ball.  Very good experience, She “go get it” and “come”, sit and give almost every time!Did leash walk on waterfront last night, she also did great.  I am hiring a trainer to come to the house in a couple of weeks, will keep you posted. I’ll have to take some pics to send you, especially when the two of them carry the frisbee together, priceless.   Thank you again for such a nice girl….we absolutely love her!
Regards,
Deb and Ann

Gremlin – All’s Well

It always great to hear from our happy homes that our Soaring English Springers now share with their humans.  Here is a recent email and pictures from Tom H:

Hi Deborah,
I wanted to let you know all is going well with Gremlin. She’s adapting to her new environment and seems happy and energetic. Nuisance and Misty are adjusting as well, a bit jealous of all the attention the new kid is getting but getting along well. We had our first trip to the Vet yesterday and she got the first of two shots in the Lyme Disease Vaccination; weighed in at 15 pounds and everybody loved her. Like Nuisance she seems to love all living things. The only pain has been the weather–boots and rain jacket on, boots and rain jacket off–but we’re dealing with it.
I took your advice and brought my ‘car crate’ into my bedroom where she’s slept. I’m going to try to wean her off that in a while but for now it’s working.
Thanks for the great job you did nurturing her into a great puppy.
Tom H.
